Tattoos can lead to liver diseases like hepatitis. UK doctors recently warned that tattooing expose people to infections and virus.

Researchers found that women with tattoos were more than twice as likely as drug users to be infected. The doctors said about a third of carriers of the virus should face severe liver damage and risk of cancer up to 30 years of infection.

It reminds us the wisdom granted by Allah as a Mercy for the whole mankind to the best and the chosen Man and the Messenger(PBUH) who truly narrated about tattooing more than 1400 years ago!!!

Sahih Al Bukhari Volume 7, Book 63, Number 259:

The Prophet cursed the lady who practices tattooing and the one who gets herself tattooed, and one who eats (takes) Riba’ (usury) and the one who gives it. And he prohibited taking the price of a dog, and the money earned by prostitution, and cursed the makers of pictures.

[The Qur’an 2:151]

"Similarly (to complete My Blessings on you) We have sent among you a Messenger (Muhammad SAW) of your own, reciting to you Our Verses (the Qur’an) and sanctifying you, and teaching you the Book (the Qur’an) and the Hikmah (i.e. Sunnah, Islamic laws and Fiqh), and teaching you that which you used not to know."
