For the purification of self four qualities are required:

1. TAHARATH (Purity) - of thought, word and deed.

2. BASHARATH (Vision) -  Humility for the sake of Allah and direction of  mind’s eye towards Him.

3. SAMAHATH (Control) -  Conquest over based elements like vengeance, avarice and greed.

4. ADALATH (Justice) -  of such type as is capable of being administered  in every aspect of human activity.
